The most important solar flare of the last 5 years occured today. The light effect were almost immediatly but the charged particles will take approximately 48 hour to reach us. we could see the effects of the flare on our communications systems. But the most noticeable could be in the form of northen lights. The sun's activities will continue to increase until its peak in May 2013.

We were treated to a nice sky show on Tuesday February 28 with the passage of a meteor. This was visible in Southern Quebec, new england and parts of Ontario. We receive on average around 30 tons of rocks from space every day
