Promotion, media events, food tests for the mission and more Soyuz simulator!

Janvier 2012

Training in the Soyuz simulator for ISS docking.

December 2011

Training in the ISS simulator on emergency procedures followed by an exam!

October-November 2011

Soyuz training in the simulator and exams!

September-October 2011

Extra vehicular activity training, ISS simulator and Canadarm2 training.

August 2011

Training in Star City the entire month on the various Soyuz along with intensive physical training.

07/08 to 07/31 - 2011

STS-135 launch support followed by lots of hours in the NBL pool and the ISS full size simulator.

06/13 to 07/08 - 2011

Entraînement dans la piscine à Houston et simulateurs de l’ISS au JSC. Par la suite un peu de vacances!

Soyuz simulations and even more simulations! Simulating Soyuz control and docking.

Soyuz flight simulator training and general Soyuz training

Underwater simulation, physical tests, visit to CSA in St-Hubert and launch support to STS-134

04/26 to 05/06 - 2011

Launch support to STS-134, mediacl exams, physical training, simulator training and EVA simulation in the NBL pool.

03/21 to 04/02 - 2011

Two weeks dedicated to various training: operations, exercise equipment, regenerative life support, extra-vehicular activities procedures and food selection. Add to this a show with the Bandella musical band and practice for playing and singing with the Houston Symphony. And don’t forget hours of flying and administrative work!

March 13 to 19 - 2011

Training and exams on the manipulation of the International Space Station robotic arm “Canadarm 2”. Arm that Chris installed on the station during his last mission in 2001.

March 1 to 12 - 2011

Training in Houston in the pool (NBL), work on the SpaceX Dragon capsule, planning on mission tasks, physical training 3 to 4 times per week... and a concert as member of the musical group Bandella!


February 14 to 28 - 2011

Exam taken with success! Good job Chris! Next, travel to Houston for some ISS training, then California to work on the  Dragon Capsule and finally launch support for the STS-133 mission in Florida.

Studying and more studying for the exam next week!

Week of Jan 31 - 2011

This week: Exam on the Rendezvous system design, components, function, operation, and malfunctions, as well as how all those systems work together. “Все это в Россию” All this in Russian. Then it is the study of the Soyuz Entry motion control system. The exam will follow next week!
